❌ Cons

“It is expensive.”
“I do think that it’s a major flaw to not be able to recharge it, as it does detract from the initial concept of being more affordable.”
“While this seems very cool in concept, my Foreo kept disconnecting, and I had to pair it again to my phone multiple times over the course of my testing period.”
“It’s recommended you remove your make-up before cleaning with the FOREO LUNA Mini 2.”
“The only thing I would suggest is ensuring you use the device with a calming cream cleanser.”
“You need to be picky with what kind of body wash you use.”
“After using this for a further week or so, the skin around my nose started to flake, which has never happened to me before.”
“Daily use leaves my skin feeling dry.”
“The only downside here is that it is non-rechargeable and thus will only work up to 100 uses.”
“It is a pricey gadget.”
“It is very difficult to use anywhere else of the brush (with smaller touch points) to clean those specific areas simply because it is not the right shape.”
“It may end up being a white elephant.”
“I do find the device a little uncomfortable to hold.”
“While it is gentler on the skin, I don’t feel like my skin got a squeaky clean feel.”
“I appreciate that it is quite a significant investment. (About the same as one round of anti-wrinkle injections, I’ve been told).”
“At-home microcurrent definitely isn’t as effective as strong, in-0ffice treatments, nor will it offer the same results as Botox, fillers, or laser facials.”
“Consistent with the properties of a physical exfoliant, Luna 2 does not help me clear any pore congestion, hormonal breakout or milia. I still need to rely on my chemical exfoliant.”
“I had trouble getting into some areas of my face, like the crevice between my nose and cheek. There wasn’t a good enough edge to accomplish this, and I get a lot of dry skin and gunk in that area.”
“Unlike the Luna and Luna Mini, the Fofo doesn’t have a rechargeable battery.”
“It also lacks the massaging surface found on both devices.”

Review Summaries
“While I liked this handy little device, for me the cons outweighed the pros – so I won’t be switching to it permanently. It’s nice for travel, but that’s about it for me. I will continue to use my True Glow by Conair Sonic Skincare Solution instead. Is this a must have skincare device? Not for me. I have heard some rave reviews about it, but it really just isn’t for me.”
“Microcurrent devices are non-invasive and generally non-irritating, so there’s no harm in using them daily. TBH, I don’t use my Foreo Bear daily because I’m lazy and get similar results by using it five days a week. But no, you can’t “overdo” microcurrent. Consider it like a workout: You do it once a day, give your skin and muscles a lil time to recover, then pick back up where ya left off.”
“An ultra-soft, hygienic silicone facial cleansing device that leaves you with younger looking skin in a flash. With 16 customisable intensities and a number of different firming massages to target different facial zones, the LUNA 3 unclogs pores and removes dirt, oil and impurities with ease.”
“This tiny compact version is possibly the cutest beauty gadget I’ve ever seen. It’s also only £29 so it puts the facial brush into a more affordable category, however there is one single flaw to this little gem… it isn’t rechargeable.”
“Overall, the Luna 4 has made a huge difference in my skincare routine. It gets my skin completely clean at night, pulsing away every last trace of stubborn concealer and goopy SPF. Meanwhile, in the morning, the ribbed, sculpting side of the device works like a supercharged gua sha to help diminish puffiness and keep my skin feeling strong and lifted. It’s truly two pieces of incredible, futuristic skincare tech in the power of a single, chic device.”
“The Foreo Luna 3 is a single-unit gadget with soft silicone bristles that vibrates/pulses against your skin, to clean it. It takes 1 minute to clean your skin, and it does leave the skin feeling clean and smooth. I do however find that it does leave my skin feeling a little drier if I use it too regularly. Those with oily or combination skin may appreciate it better, and may even derive more benefit from it. It is however an expensive gadget, so think wisely before investing.”
“Over time, I’ve noticed a really difference using this on the daily. My skin feels more soft and less irritated, plus my overall skin colour tone has become more even and less blotchy.”
“I love it. If I have gone a few days without it, I start to look a bit soft around the jaw and cheeks and feel a deep need to zap it all backup. The results are instant, and once I’ve levelled out both sides of my face I do feel snatched for the rest of the day.”
“Judging by the amount of money that I will save on physical exfoliant, if my Luna 2 can last 5 to 6 years then yes, it is worth the spending. However, even though I really like it I can’t say that it is not substitutable. I believe I can achieve the same results using the right combination of skincare products.”
“If you’re looking for a Silicon Valley take on facial cleansing devices, then the Fofo might just be your best bet. After using it every night for a week — and tracking the results on the app — my face felt less congested (save for one “purge” chin zit), and honestly, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look forward to the relaxing sensation of using it to rinse off my dirt, oil, and makeup. High-tech self-care? Now that’s pretty smart.”
“I’m so sold on what it’s done for my face that my next mission is to reimagine my self-care head-to-toe with the LUNA 4 Body.”
“The whole experience was therapeutic enough to feel like a pampering ritual but fast enough to get me into my PJs much quicker. And since self-care and sleep are pretty much my favourite things ever, the FOREO Luna 3 gets a big stamp of approval from me, on behalf of lazy skincare lovers everywhere.”
“Waterproof, soothing and effective, this travel-sized brush is a genius. It even comes in an array of cute colours that you can choose from. The only downside here is that it is non-rechargeable and thus will only work up to 100 uses. Honestly, with the results I’ve been seeing, I’ve got no doubt that I’m going to purchase the rechargeable version!”
“The main benefit of the LUNA Mini 2 is that it’s easy. It isn’t messy and doesn’t take ages and doesn’t need to be charged every other day. It’s simple and effective and using it twice a day I’ve really seen a difference in my skin.”
“The FOREO LUNA 3 deeply cleanses the face using gentle and ultra-hygienic silicone bristles, which buff away pore cloggers like dead skin cells, dirt, and oils.”
