✅ Pros

This yarn has a small amount of halo to it giving it a nice subtle fuzziness.
Review Pros
Ice Yarns is the best quality yarn I’ve worked with as far as large companies go.
I’ve never had a package go missing or show up with the wrong items.
I was amazed at the variety of yarn they produce.
The color transitions are nice and long, perfect for making hats, scarves, fingerless gloves, etc.
They have blends, textures, colors, and weights to suit any project.
The price is much cheaper than most other yarns.
Even with the shipping factored in, the yarn still costs less than it would if I purchased it here.
Acrylics made in Turkey consistently seem to feel a bit nicer.
Given that 1 ball is usually somewhere between 50p and £2, each pack is often less than 1 ball of expensive pure wool.
This yarn works up quickly and the self-striping pattern comes out beautifully.
The luxury blends are about ¼ of the price I’d pay in the US.
Their clearance yarns get incredibly cheap.
All of their yarns are divided into categories and tags, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.
Ice Yarns has over 5,000 yarns available on their website.
It has 30% wool, 70% acrylic fiber content.
As for their selection, there are so many yarns to choose from.
They have everything from basic worsted weight to luxury yarns.
They use good couriers like DHL so you can receive it in just a few days.
Their yarns are very affordably priced, and are usually less expensive than comparable yarns that are available in US craft stores.
They have many different blends of usually 50% acrylic.

❌ Cons

The shipping will almost always cost more than the yarn itself.
You have to buy in sets.
Their site isn’t the most user-friendly.
Shipping on Ice Yarns is always high.
You do have to order a pack of each type you order, 6, 8, or 4 balls.
On Ice Yarns you have to order them in a package, you can’t buy individual balls.
This yarn is definitely not one I would use for a baby.
The shipping costs are much higher than we are used to seeing when we order things from US-based yarn companies.
Sometimes they change the product pages when they restock.

Ice Yarns is a knitter’s heaven. I stalk their site at least once a week, because their clearance yarns get incredibly cheap. I’m talking $0.30 per skein, cheap. The catch is, you have to buy in sets.
The incredible prices are another reason I don’t mind the higher shipping rates. Even with the shipping factored in, the yarn still costs less than it would if I purchased it here and to be honest, Ice Yarns is the best quality yarn I’ve worked with as far as large companies go.
If you’re yarn shopping on a budget, and you don’t mind ordering yarn in packs of 4 or 6 instead of individual skeins, I would highly recommend giving Ice Yarns a try.
I personally love this yarn, and I have bought several colors of it, and plan on ordering more in my next shipment.
I would definitely recommend Ice yarns, if you need quite a bit of wool. They use good couriers like DHL so you can receive it in just a few days, and the prices are so reasonable that the shipping price doesn’t put you off. The wool is good quality, easy to knit with and they have such a wide variety that you are sure to find something you like!
