I wasn’t able to see how recent courses were.
There are not any active LinkedIn Learning coupons at this time.
Some video lectures are dry.
There are expert teachers but not always engaging/entertaining videos.
Video streaming can be slow at times.
There is not a lot of guidance about what path you should take within a given subject.
There is no accreditation beyond the association with the LinkedIn name.
You can’t download and share reports with friends.
There are course recommendation for administrators, that have nothing to do with what you are interested in.
There are different results depending on each person’s learning style or each expert’s teaching style.
Equally helpful training videos are sometimes available for free online.
Users who have not previously used Lynda.com or LinkedIn Learning may initially question the quality of the instructors.
It is not the best value if you only want to access one course.
If you want robust data, this is not the system for you.
To not highlight its app, or the option to download courses to your device, seems like a missed opportunity.
If you need more interactivity than videos and add-on content to retain the information, Lynda may not be for you.
There are no degrees or certificates.
There is no per-video or per-course access.
You’ll need to personally put some effort into researching the quality of the courses you’re taking.

Class content is restricted to business skills, technology, and design.
At the time of writing I haven’t been asked to rate my LinkedIn Learning experience at all, which feels a bit odd.

If you want flexibility in your learning, Lynda.com might perfect for you, because you can take it on the go and use it anywhere with internet access. That said, you need to have the self-discipline to sit down and do the courses. If you are not a good audio learner and require more hands-on learning, then Lynda might not be the software for you.

The Lynda and LinkedIn Learning platform is comparably priced to Treehouse, and much better value than the individually priced courses at Udemy –- provided you want to access multiple courses.
The skills you’ll end up gaining can be priceless for your personal development, whether it’s a single skill you’re after or a completely new area of knowledge. As long as you do minor research on your instructors & courses, there are no real drawbacks with the platform.
LinkedIn Learning may have only entered the e-learning scene in 2016, but it has established itself as a leading e-learning platform. If you are interested in boosting your career through an effective and high-quality learning experience, then LinkedIn Learning might be for you!
I’m not blown away by LinkedIn Learning, but I hold out hope that what I am looking at is quite a distance from where it will be in a year or two. Emerging technologies offer some exciting opportunities in the education space, and combining these with what is clearly a sizeable content operation could lead to some really innovative ways of delivering training.
The average 2016 graduate has $37,172 in student loan debt. We would bet that most of those people would prefer not to go into more debt to learn a new skill or further their knowledge on a subject. That’s why online learning tools like Lynda are so convenient. You do the learning when you want and pay less than $30 per month.
