Review Pros
The crisplid sits on top of your existing pressure cooker, so does not need the whole housing similar to an air fryer.
If you already have a six or eight quart Instant Pot or Pressure Cooker of any brand you will want this in your life.
The pot itself is beautiful and I love the display.
With two settings, high and low I found the Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 works just like a slow cooker.
The Crisplid is easy to use.
It includes bright red float and extra-wide steam vent handle to help to keep hands safe.
Just by switching up your lid, you can go from pressure cooking to air frying or broiling, which is pretty awesome.
It has higher temperature range than other air fryers.
You can see through cover.
I love that I can see the food as it cooks without having to pause cooking.
It fits with both 6qt and 8qt sized pots.
The latest model air fries up to 500°F/260°C , which is much higher than most air fryers. This higher temperature is perfect for broiling.
Unlike a stand-alone air fryer, the Crisplid doesn’t take up much room, and can be stowed away after use.
The Mealthy Multipot 2.0 pressure cooker looks great.
Air fries food crispy and quickly without the hassle of oven cooking.
It comes with pre-programmed settings and delayed start options.
Glass lid makes it easy to track the progress of cooking.
Mealthy did a great job with the actual structure of the MultiPot, using very high-quality materials for a sturdy, safe appliance with a clean and aesthetic appearance.
Unlike many pressure cookers on the market, the Mealthy MultiPot comes with nearly 10 accessories to kickstart your pressure cooking journey.
I like the progress indicator that clearly shows the stages of cooking with bars.
The interface is easy enough for a five year old to figure out.
Between the Mealthy MultiPot companion app and the comprehensive user guide with full illustrations, the MultiPot may be the best pressure cooker for beginners available on the market.
It doesn’t get the burn message easily.
You can put most of the parts in the dishwasher with some of the accessories placed on the top rack.
The Mealthy App is free to use and not only has recipes for the MultiPot but it has tons of recipes in general.
Tons of how-to instructional videos available are on both the app and website.
I love that the lid is clear, and I can see what is cooking without having to stop cooking and open up the device to see.
The Mealthy Crisplid is priced at just $50 currently.
It is light and was actually easy to store.
The Mealthy also comes with a pair of red silicone grippers, making it easier to pull the hot stainless steel pot out of the multicooker.
I love the ability to cook 2 dishes, like rice and dal, at the same time, using the pot in pot method.
It very clearly shows the cook time, pressure, temperature settings, and, most importantly, the progress.
It works with an appliance you already own.
At only $49.95, the CrispLid is quite a bit cheaper than most stand alone Air Fryers which are usually closer to $75 and up.
It is healthier than using a deep fryer.
Easy to read LCD panel comes with a progress indicator that clearly shows the stages of cooking.
It is easy to store.
It offers hassle free perfection – every single time.
All accessories that come with it are dishwasher safe. You can wipe the crisplid clean with a damp towel.
It turns an existing electric pressure cooker into an air fryer.
All of the accessories—including the lid—are dishwasher-safe, which means cleanup is super easy.
The cooking times of Mealthy are similar to Instant Pot so you can easily adapt Instant Pot recipes for Mealthy.
It goes up to 500 degrees in temperature. That is pretty dang hot.
The newer Mealthy Multipot also comes with the hands-free pressure release option.
I love that the lid is fully removable and works with the Instant Pot I already own.
It’s a space saver for sure. Small, compact and doesn’t take up too much space.
The CrispLid is a significant space saver over a traditional air fryer, which tend to be very large.
You can set whether you want the pressure release to be auto, natural or quick.
You can see your food cooking through the glass lid.
Hands-free pressure release worked like a charm and I find it so beneficial.
It’s great that the device has options for the pressure release.
If you own a compatible electric pressure cooker, the Crisplid will work with that as well.
It cooks food crispy, just like a dedicated air fryer.

I love that the trivet and especially the fryer basket are stainless steel.
Mealthy offers an app with meal plans and recipes.
It comes with easy to read LCD screen with a progress indicator and intuitive icons.
As the Crisplid sits on the existing pressure cookers, I am able to reuse the same accessories I might have purchased or that came with the crisplid for other purposes such as pot-in-pot cooking.
Included accessories (tongs, trivet, silicone mat) are handy.
You can easily make almost any meal imaginable with the touch of a single button, thanks to the many preset options on the Mealthy MultiPot.

Self-sealing lid means no more forgetting to set the pot to sealin.
It is well made, and very well thought out in design.
It has a unique lid design with grooves which makes it compatible with both, 6 and 8 quart, stainless steel pressure cooker inner pots.
You can save a little money by not having to buy a dedicated air fryer.
It comes with accessories.
It is a gorgeous looking, well-designed pressure cooker.

❌ Cons

It is potentially dangerous if left plugged in.
The manual pressure release – as described in the manual – only works when there still is a lot of pressure built up.
The cord could stand to be a bit longer.
If you have a large family, you may be disappointed with the capacity.
The power cord on the Crisp Lid is really short.
The top part of the display is not visible when standing by the pot. You have to move back or lean down to see it.
The basket of the CrispLid is slightly larger than my 2.5 quart Phillips Air Fryer basket, but it is still on the smaller side.
You might not like the detachable cord.
One has to flip the food individually so it can get browned evenly on all sides.
The circulating air isn’t as strong as mid-sized air fryers, so food will take a little longer to cook.
I wish I could make bigger batches.
The main downside I felt was that I was moving a hot lid and have to be mindful of how to handle it each time.
It can only be used with stainless steel pots, not ceramic interior pots.
It takes away the option of using the Instant Pot while the CrispLid is in use.
A chart in the user guide aims to give you some guidance as to how to customize the setting, but it’s actually not helpful.
You cannot pressure cook or steam with the valve open for some Indian dishes like idli which are cooked that way to mimic the function of idli cooker.
Since it’s a relatively newer gadget, there isn’t a wide variety of tried and tested recipes available online.
ou can only use the stainless steel insert of your pressure cooker with the Crisplid. No non-stick or ceramic inserts.
It is somewhat small for larger families.
The Crisplid can replace your Air Fryer, but it certainly won’t replace your oven.
The Saute function cannot be changed from Low to Medium or High once the cooking cycle begins.
You usually need to flip your food during cooking for maximum crispness.
We wish the Mealthy included a glass lid, which is handy when slow cooking.
I had to rotate the food to crisp it well on all sides or do smaller batches.
It is not recommended for use by kids.

Review Summaries
If you are looking to buy an electric pressure cooker and are considering Instant Pot, I would definitely recommend you to also check out Mealthy Multipot.
In my experience testing the Mealthy Crisplid, I have been liking it so far! I would recommend the CrispLid to anyone who already has a 6-quart or 8-quart pressure cooker with a stainless steel pot. It is affordable and much cheaper than a standalone air fryer, and also does not take as much space. I hope you give it a try!
I definitely love using the CrispLid and would 100% recommend it.
Overall, I think the Mealthy Multipot 2.0 is a useful addition to any kitchen. It is well-designed and has safety features that encourage even beginners to try out recipes from its recipe book (or the free app that comes with it).
If you have a large family, you may be disappointed with the capacity, but if you live alone or only have a significant other, the CrispLid is an easy to use cooking gadget that will save you some calories, and space in your pantry.
The Mealthy MultiPot 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker has all the same user-friendly features as a comparable model of Instant Pot, but it costs $30 less and comes with more useful accessories. It performs the same as the big brand, and any recipes developed for the Instant Pot will work seamlessly with the Mealthy.
The Mealthy MultiPot may have a funny name, but this pot is far from funny business — it’s the real deal. The MultiPot is an electric, multi-functional pressure cooker that encompasses just about anything a home chef could need. This Mealthy product can replace up to nine kitchen appliances you already own, and makes mealtime easy with 14 one-touch cook settings.
Overall, Mealthy MultiPot is a well-designed product. As I tested it out and used it for a couple of weeks, it felt like Mealthy analyzed all the tiny quirks that Instant Pot had, addressed it and made a better looking, sturdier product that I am sure you’ll fall in love with.
I definitely give this pot two thumbs up and highly recommend it.
The CrispLid works very well to crisp food. The CrispLid is small and quite easy to store, especially compared to other air fryers. You will find yourself using the CrispLid all the time to cook breakfast meats, lunch items, and dinner! The CrispLid is great for vegetables, meats, toasting breads/pastries, etc.
It’s a pressure cooker but it’s also a slow cooker, steamer, rice cooker, yogurt maker, and saute pan in one. Ok, now we’re talking! With this one appliance, I can clear out all of the others and ultimately save time and space (because I’m also teaching myself the art of minimalism).
I 100% recommend the Mealthy CrispLid to my readers, but especially if you already have a 6 or 8 quart pressure cooker, space is an issue in your kitchen, or if you are looking to spend less money and still get a good AirFryer.
This is a fantastic and innovative add-on air fryer feature to your pressure cooker. Yes, it’s definitely worth it for the convenience of saving space and money, especially for smaller servings. If you air fry occasionally for 2 people or side dishes, it’s perfect. But if you want to air fry lots of food at once, buy a larger air fryer.
Cooking with different kitchen appliances can be a joy. It’s nice to switch things up and try new things. Plus, you can use two at a time. If I want to make double of something more crispier, I now have that option. As I mentioned in the start of my post, for the price, you really aren’t making a mistake or a huge investment.
