❌ Cons

Paint flakes like a bad date.
I’ve also had holes in camera mounting plate tear through, making cameras un-mountable.
We do wish that the quick release plate was included in the box.
One of the plastic tightening knobs broke off mine after 6 months.
The bearings from the camera plate roll on an open platform on the aluminum, so you have to be careful that no dust gets on to it or any scratches happen.
The common failure of Proaim across the board is that the metal they use in their products is pure and simple grade D shit.
It’s designed for use with mirrorless DSLRs, so it won’t support heavy filming equipment.
It is equipped with 60/40 glass, which means it will be easier for talent to read, but you’ll need to make up for the loss of light.

A handle on the ProAm Orion DVC 210 (about $299) makes it easy to manually adjust the angle of the camera, though you can also set it so your shot stays level automatically. It’s designed for use with mirrorless DSLRs, so it won’t support heavy filming equipment.
PROAIM Anchor Heavy-Duty Video Tripod is a very strong tripod. We were able to easily mount heavy video equipment on it, and it held up well under the weight. We love that it’s lightweight, too, which makes it easy to carry around. We do wish that the quick release plate was included in the box, but we’re sure that most people will already have one of their own. For the price, this is a great tripod for anyone who needs to lug their equipment around.
I Should hate these jibs… but I don’t. The more I think about it, the more I actually like them better than my Kessler Crane at least in terms of ergonomics and weight. And I’ll give them this… two out of three have survived a year in an indie rental house. That’s pretty good praise. Again, buy based on what you need. If you’re dragging them around the world, buy something durable. If you need light, fast and cheap for a DSLR, this might do the trick if you take good care of it.
The 15mm LWS Bridge Plate with ARRI-Style Dovetail is an aluminum baseplate system that consists of a bridge plate and a 10″ ARRI-standard dovetail plate. The bridge plate features a center plate that can be flipped from ARRI standard height to RED standard camera height.
The sliding experience is awesome! I’ve only used bigger slider like the Kessler that have a friction. But being able to do such controlled movements on a smaller slider is a blessing. It’s not very often that you need full speed on a slider, so the Proaim smart slider is for most applications perfect.
You can’t always position yourself immediately in front of the camera. For those situations, the Proaim Teleprompter Kit pays off, providing text visibility from up to 15 feet away. A protective carrying case will safeguard it against damage when transporting it from one location to another.
