❌ Cons
“If you consider yourself a hybrid fitness and nutrition coach, you will need to pair this software with an app or program focusing more on nutrition.”
“The system is very basic and doesn’t offer clients much more than a goal and the option to message a coach.”
“With as much functionality as TrueCoach offers, it’s easy to get hung up on crafting the perfect workout plans, filling in everyone’s schedules accurately, checking on clients’ nutrition progress constantly, and refining your metric schema for each client.”
“Cost ramps up to £99 once you hit 20+ clients.”
“It’s definitely user-friendly, but it’s geared toward people who are comfortable using apps and cloud-based software.”
“It does not offer stripe integration in the UK.”
“Exercise library needs updating.”
“The app can be slow and glitchy, although this issue is likely to be resolved given some time.”
“The mobile app’s performance may vary depending on the device and internet connectivity.”
“There is currently only an iOS version of the app and no Android version.”
“As the software is primarily focused on training, the nutrition feature is limited and some trainers would have liked to see more here.”
“There’s no tool for onboarding paperwork or digital document signing.”
“The platform’s user interface may also be considered overly simple and lacking in sophisticated customization possibilities by certain trainers.”
“Payments only go through Stripe (at time of writing review).”
“Although the client app can be customized, it can’t be fully white-labelled.”
“Nutrition tracking can be improved, the software is primarily focused on training.”

⚖️ Final Say
Read the summaries of what reviewers think about TrueCoach below.

“If complex program design is the bread and butter of your fitness business, TrueCoach might be perfect for you. If nutrition is important in your business model then I’d consider other apps. Either way, I’m confident your clients would love a “PT in their pocket” feature as part of your services, so enrol onto the trial and see for yourself how it can contribute to your clients’ satisfaction.”
“TrueCoach claims to be the market leader (we do wonder who is telling the truth), it offers online training and other helpful features too. However, when it comes to the monetisation perspective it doesn’t offer stripe integration in the UK so it’s possible for PTs to have a hard time managing the accounting and payments side (this is always a pain point with most coaches). Another thing we observed was that some parts, like the exercise library, look a little dated and may need to get some updates.”
“It kept my business afloat during the three-month lockdown. That’s close to the best praise you can get and highlights what is perhaps TrueCoach’s best feature: Both clients and coaches can get up to speed fast with an app that looks great and immediately raises the professionalism factor of online training.”
“TrueCoach has appealing features for online personal trainers who work with a wide range of clients, from novices who need a lot of patience and flexibility to higher-level athletes who work with a team of coaches.”
“While it is a popular choice, especially for an online workout coach, it may not the best solution for everyone, such as health professionals who need their software to be HIPAA compliant for their online health coaching program. We highly recommend that you thoroughly explore your options and try out some of the other coaching platforms we mentioned before making your final decision.”
“TrueCoach is a game-changer for fitness coaches seeking to enhance their coaching practice and provide unparalleled training experiences. With its seamless client management, personalized training programs, enhanced communication features, and comprehensive analytics, TrueCoach empowers coaches to deliver exceptional results for their clients.”
“Overall, I think TrueCoach is a fantastic tool for coaches and personal trainers. The platform offers a simple and intuitive user interface, a wide range of choices for exercise programming, and effective client management tools. The platform offers a lot of value and might be great solutions based on your unique requirements and preferences.”
“Overall, TrueCoach gives coaches a simple yet effective way to train clients remotely and in-person. The level of customization is less than what some competitors like Trainerize offer, however, the simplicity of TrueCoach is likely going to appeal to lots of PTs and coaches. With a 14 day free trial, you can try the features out for yourself before you commit to the platform.”
“TrueCoach is really all about customizing your personal training business for each client. A big pro is that it’s so easy to use; the software just gets out of your way, whether you’re a client or a coach, and lets you do what you’re there to do.”
“I think TrueCoach offers the best personal training software experience available. The price may deter some people though.”
