Review Summaries
VPNArea concentrates in areas that are most important to a privacy-conscious user. Those areas are privacy and anonymity. It has great extra features such as Kill Switch and dedicated IP address along with auto-IP changer. Moreover, VPNArea has a robut VPN app and offers a tremendous number of VPN server locations. The only downsides are its lack of 24/7 live chat support and a confusing official website. Moreover, there is no free trial. Other than that, we think that you should atleast try VPNArea.
You may not have heard of it, but VPNArea claims to be able to do it all: a secure service that keep you private, beats online barriers, unlocks streaming content, and more.
There’s a lot to like about VPNArea. They offer all major protocols, along with the best encryption methods money can buy. Their lower-than-average pricing is tempting. They’re a bit slow for serious use. Even with the ‘low member-to-server ratio’ thing. If you’re planning to use this VPN for torrenting or Netflix – their performance won’t cut it.
On top of impressive privacy measures, they also offer a decent amount of unique features. Everything is well-organized and clearly labeled, so you shouldn’t have any problems with finding the options or settings you’re looking for. Unfortunately, the live chat option doesn’t operate 24/7, which is somewhat disappointing.
The desktop application caused me a lot of trouble. The mobile app was the redeeming factor because it worked seamlessly. I felt confident that my information was secure and didn’t notice any trouble with speed. After my experience, I will be canceling my subscription to this service and pursuing a refund as it does not work on my laptop and that is my primary need when I travel.
Overall, VPNArea is a good VPN service for privacy-conscious users that also does well with performance (speed) and streaming content. And if you are someone who likes to stream Netflix, BBC iPlayer and other services, VPNArea remains an excellent choice. While it doesn’t offer as many Netflix servers as ExpressVPN or NordVPN, VPNArea still gets the job done with their regional hubs in Europe and the US. If you value performance, privacy, and the ability to stream your favorite content, VPNArea is worth a try.
While the VPN is robust and safe in terms of there being no logging, secure encryption, a kill switch, and DNS leak protection, it is lacking in other areas. Customer support is spotty, and servers and download speeds are somewhat lacking. If you’re looking for simple browsing and aren’t too concerned about being the fastest VPN user or having access to thousands of servers, then VPNArea is good enough.
Overall, VPNArea gave a decent performance. It pegged fast speeds and we were easily able to unblock multiple streaming services including Netflix US and UK, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer, making the desktop client a great option for streamers. With P2P allowed, unlimited bandwidth, and a solid privacy policy, this is solid choice for torrenters too. The customer support was lacking overall, and the live chat could be vastly improved. Similarly, the apps could use a bit of an overhaul as they weren’t the most user-friendly and the mobile version was sparse. Finally, there were some connection issues with certain servers in both the desktop and mobile versions, which could become very frustrating.
VPNArea provides a strong slate of features and impressive speeds, but it needs to mature a bit in design and capability before it can can truly compete with the best VPNs.
VPNArea is a great VPN focused on offering the best to their users. It is suitable for all those who need a complete VPN to watch streaming TV, surf anonymously and download torrents without limits. Dedicated servers are affordable there!
VPNArea is a Bulgarian service that seems to be getting better by the day. While in earlier versions of this review we had a few complaints here and there, as it stands now the service gets you into Netflix U.S., no longer leaks your DNS, has recently gotten a face lift and is pretty affordable, too.
VPNArea is a likeable service with some decent apps, interesting features and effective Netflix-unblocking thrown in. The speed and connection issues we noticed are a concern, but may not affect everyone, and shouldn’t stop you giving the VPN a try.
Even though there’s plenty to like about this VPN – you shouldn’t forget the fact that it brings below-average speeds. Therefore, we recommend this VPN service only to those that have fast Web connections, to begin with.
VPNArea is a good but not great VPN. With strong security, a fast connection, and access to Netflix and torrents, it’s hard to find fault with this VPN save for the unpolished user interface of its client. The monthly price of VPNArea is undoubtedly higher than its competitors. However, if you purchase the annual plan, the price is comparable to others in the market. And with their 7-day money-back guarantee, you’ve really got nothing to lose!
